Welcom to Khona Family. Our Family name is KHONA, sound more like KONA. You would think that - you are from Hawaii !

Well, who knows ! But what my father knows and has told us is that our fore fathers had migrated from Burma to Rajasthan - India and from there to Kutch - India and been in Bombay since last six generations. Rick (Ramesh) was born in bombay.

Tracy's parents came to New Delhi from what is now known as Pakistan. During India's partition they came to Punjab and on to New Delhi. Tracy (Aruna) was born in Hosiyarpur, Punjab. Tracy studied medicine in New Delhi at Maulana Azad Medical College and came to USA in 1969.

Rick came to USA in January, l963 via SS Orsova passenger liner and SS United States. It was very interesting trip from Bombay to Aden, Port Sayed, Alexandria, Sorento, Pompe, Marshall, Paris - France, to London - U.K. and to New York (USA) and finally to New Mexico State University, University Park, New Mexico. A very pretty part of USA.

Tracy came to USA in June 1969. And she started her residency program in Rhode Island. And  got her MBBS (INDIA) and MD (USA). She did specialty training at Jewish Asthma Center in Denver - Colorado.

Khona family now have made home (below is a view from our home, looking over St. Johns river)  in Jacksonville, Florida. Nice area for a family to grown. We are blessed with three beautiful daughters - Cynthia, Sharmilee and Amisha and Romeo (dog) & Manav (cat).
